Play that Funky Music

Katie's favorite toys are her pianos. She likes the guitar as well. She just so cute when she's trying to play her music. And lately she'll start to shake her head back and forth when the music plays. It's just adorable. We think she's trying to dance! 

Who Me?

Katie is already proving that she is going to have quite a strong-willed personality. Recently she has been refusing to eat her formula bottles. She will eat any food you give her, but she DOES NOT want a bottle, at least not during the day. She gets up at night now, and accepts her bottle. I guess we were too spoiled by Katie's good sleeping and now assume that she should sleep through the night. HA! Katies teaches us something new everyday. 

Monsters under the Bed

Katie woke up last night in the middle of the night shrieking. I have never seen her do that before. I don't know what happened to the poor little girl. If she wakes up, she doesn't start with shrieking like that. I held her and tried to calm her down, and then steve rocked her and fed her some warm formula and eventually she went back to sleep. Bad baby dream I guess.

The NFL season starts tonight! Go Ravens! 

Big Girl

Katie can stand! I think she may forgo crawling altogether and just start walking one day. She likes to lean on the table and play with her toys standing up.

My Irish Pal

My friend Kelly went to Ireland on her honeymoon brought this stuffed animal back for Katie. Katie is fascinated. And of course, she likes to try to eat the fur.

How Exciting

Sometimes Katie is so cute, I don't know what to do with myself. We had her playing in this pool in a couple inches of water and she just LOVED it. It's so funny to watch her get so excited over her duck floating by or her ball. She gets a huge smile, reaches her arms out and starts to shake. It cracks me up!

Bath Time

Katie loves being in the water, whether it's a bath or a swimming pool. She had meat baby food for the first time last night, and she did not seem to like it. Then, she kept spitting up, 5 or 6 times in the next two hours. Needless to say, it was time for a bath! Who wants to go to bed smelling like turkey vomit? 

Sports Fan

Who said boys don't like to play dress up? Steve has turned Katie into his little sports fan doll!
Suprisingly, she didn't seem to mind the scarf on her head, probably because she was too concentrated on getting the beads in her mouth.

New Toy

 

Cool Chick

Katie's favorite place and she's almost too big for it! She hardly ever lays back anymore, unless she's asleep. She's getting so big! 

I love to Jump!

Katie LOVES to jump in her jumparoo. She goes nuts in it and it is so fun to watch!

I'm 1/2 a year old!

Katie is 6 months old today. She can sit up really well, she doesn't have any teeth yet, and she says babababa.... She loves her new toys that she can play with sitting up! I can't believe how fast 1/2 the year has gone, and I can't imagine all the new things she'll be doing in next 6 months, but we are looking forward to every minute.

Yummy Time

Katie loves eating her first baby foods in her high chair. Her current favorite is applesauce.

Isn't she the cutest? She loves hanging on to her little stuffed animals. Her favorites are her dollie, her purple unicorn and the one here - her bunny blanket.

Miller Time

No, I did not set this up! Baby katie reached out for Pam's Miller lite and wanted to hold it and lick it. It was really hot that day and I think she liked how cold the bottle was. She did not want me to take it away from her! She just hung on! It made for a pretty funny photo op!

Pool Time

Katie, Steve and I hung out at the Ashby's house on memorial day. Katie went in the pool for the first time. It was a little to cold for her, she tolerated it for about 5 minutes before she started crying.
