Helper

Everything we do these days, Katie says "I help too!" Here she is helping shovel the snow. She was not pleased when I told her she had to come inside because it was getting dark.

"Campy Bed"

At christmas, Katie was enomored with her cousin Samantha's canopy bed. I decided to look around for a canopy bed for the tot bot and found a great, inexpensive, princess toddler bed with canopy. It was supposed to be for her big 2 at the end of the month, but she was so thrilled with it when it arrived, Steve put it together for her right away. And, man does she love her "campy bed." As soon as it was made, she flopped on it and said " I go night night in campy bed." No baba, no nothing, just give her the blankets and Lee and she was out. It's been like that for the last three days. I can't believe how much she loves the bed and doesn't even care that she doesn't get her night night baba or sleep in her crib anymore. I think I miss the rocking her and feeding her the bottle more than she does!

Happy Birthday Piper!

Piper turned one, and we all went up to Jess's beautiful new house in H-town to help celebrate. As you can see, all the kiddies had a great time. I think Katie enjoys being the oldest and the biggest though. She'll have to watch out when she's not!

Growing Up

Tonight as we were sitting down to dinner, I walked over to the table with my salad and sat next to Katie, who already had her plate of food. Steve asked me from the kitchen if I had a fork already. I said yes, and Katie shouted " I have a fork too Mama."

She's getting so good at talking!

MINE!

Katie had a friend come over tonight - Baby Will! While she was very excited to have him, we have discovered that while Katie may be good at sharing in general, when it comes to "her" toys, it's a whole different ball game. She snatched her push toy and her soccer ball right out of his hands! Clearly we need to have other kids over more often to get her used to other poeple using her toys. But of course, she still loves him, and wants to kiss and love on him. Here are some of the cute "friendly" Katie photos.

Fort Taten

Tonight Steve built Katie her first fort. She loved it! In, out, jumping around, Baby Doll invitations, blankets on, she was having a ball!

Resolutions

I'm hoping this way I may actually keep up with some of my resolutions if I write them here for all the read. And I'll also have more to write about as I provide updates of my amazing progress, right? That's exactly how this whole posting on my resolutions will go, I'm sure. So here they are in no particular order:

1. Bringing sexy back (my gym buddy Colleen's favorite phrase) Which is to say fit into some college cloths before the year's out.

2. Take Katie to do something new every month. I voted for iceskating this month, but was overrulled by the "experts" that say she is too young. So, January's activity will be one of those updates I'll be able to provide.

3. Stick to a budget, and generally avood running up any more credit card debt. With Katie starting a new pre-school program, this will be imperative otherwise we will have no money for number 4.

4. Take a a family vacation for a whole week this summer. We have not been on such a vacation since our Vegas honeymoon, so watch out beach - here we come!
